Personalities that left their mark on military history

Many personalities and notable figures have played a significant role in military history, even if they were not part of actively fighting as military leaders or politicians that were deciding the faith of millions. Some of them rose to heroic stature as they struggled with the atrocities of war and some of them found ingenious ways of doing the best according to their abilities. Many used their intellect as a weapon of choice to battle the odds.
